And we reach May. The month when spring unfolds in its full splendor with the birth of plants and flowers. A month of floral and sweet scents that leads us directly to a specific aroma: jasmine. A floral, warm, animalistic, spicy, fruity, and sweet fragrance. It’s a widely used scent in perfumery that holds some secrets and curiosities. Before introducing our jasmine-scented products, let us share them with you:
- Jasmine sambac flowers bloom at night and close in the morning. They release their scent for 12 to 20 hours.
- India is the birthplace of jasmine. Especially in the southern part of the country, it is used in offerings to the gods and in beauty rituals where women adorn their hair with jasmine garlands. It is also a symbol of sensuality present in marriage ceremonies.
- There are over 200 species of jasmine, but only two are used in perfumery: jasmine grandiflorum and jasmine sambac.
- Jasmine has antispasmodic properties, which have been used to heal the female reproductive system. It can help alleviate uterine cramps during childbirth, calm the nerves, and improve emotional problems as well as migraines.
