Walter came to Xavier University just after the war, ready to get his college degree. But life does not always let you do what you want, and he had to drop out. He married and had 10 children, which left him no time to resume his career. In addition, over the years many health problems began to appear. Currently, Walter has lung cancer and has undergone over the last years to thirteen radiotherapy treatments. He also has difficulty to walk, so he often needs the help of a daughter and a grandson. But despite everything, he never left the idea of graduation. And now, 68 years after he entered college, he has done it.
