As you know, the mission of Water for water It is to help sustain and strengthen communities in areas where they do not have access to clean water. Thanks to the project, almost € 500,000 have been collected since 2012, which have allowed 75 water wells to be built in Burkina Faso. And it is that with the purchase of each bottle, directly delivers € 0.50 to the NGO Aigua Per Al Sahel. But we had been considering a challenge for a long time: how could we continue collecting these necessary donations by eliminating single -use plastic? Therefore, we have decided to join Lanjarón and guarantee the continuity of water by water reducing the impact it generates on the planet. Same initiative, same mechanics, different container. We present a new bottle, made to 50% recycled plastic (RPET), which, if all we expect, in 2020 it will become 100%. Water for water Natura Some time ago we launched a question in our RRSS where we asked you for help to face the challenge of continuing with the project without using a single use plastic. After receiving all your comments and improvement proposals, we have investigated a lot. In a saturated and exploited world, we know that no container is the solution: there are no better and worse materials when it comes to waste. However, we believe that RPET is the best alternative to continue raising the money needed for Aigua Per Al Sahel and try to generate the slightest impact. We tell you all the options we have valued and what have been the reasons that have made us decide for recycled plastic. Brick Glass bottles Hemp bottles water bubbles bulk water machines The key to all this change is, without a doubt, recycling. Plastic is the only material that allows generating a circular economy, that is, from each recycled bottle an identical bottle can be generated without the need to add more raw material to the production process. But, for this, it is necessary that everyone always recycles the plastic containers by throwing them into the yellow container. Recycling our waste we managed to save natural resources, since we recover them and convert them again into raw material. In addition, we save energy, because it is easier to reconvert than creating one again, and we help protect the environment by using recycled materials. If you want to join us against thirst, contribute to the project by buying your water bottle in stores or here And, after use, remember to give it a new life. Recycle plastic
