Africa is a woman. Woman born to grow between deficiencies and difficulties. Destined for man and work. Always pending well -being the family and health of children. Captive of the night and companion of the first light of the day. Friend of the Earth where Esperanza sows, with her open hands and her bare feet. Last bastion before the constant threat of the unpredictable. Thirst. Disease. Hunger. Misery. Brave. Strong. Able. Resistant. Foresee. Stubborn. The women of the village of Karbolé, of 1300 inhabitants, were aware that, associating, they could improve their fees for the production of vegetables and legumes, aimed at supplying local markets. They joined, more than 20 years ago, and created Maneguinkodo (Help us to help us). Since then, they always work in a group. They can be seen, throughout the day, next to the potable water well of the village around which they located their orchards. The well was rehabilitated, thanks to the support of Aigua Per Al Sahel through the project Water for water, in May 2019.
